Humans make up around half of the population. Humans tend to have large numbers of children, with twins and even triplets not uncommon. By default, humans are in the most positions of power and are among the races that pushes the agenda of expansion into the Outremer the most vociferously. Despite their numbers, they rely on the skills and attributes of the other races heavily.
In the Lastlands, humans exhibit a large variance in physical appearance, possibly indicating that different groups of humans arrived from different places. However, after five hundred plus years in the Lastlands, many humans tend to have skin tones that could be described as lightly coffee-colored, hair that is black and straight, and often stand around six feet tall (both men and women). Echoes of nonhuman heritage are also common as the children of half-elves, half-orcs, and tieflings tend to be much more human than not.
Humans tend to drive change in the Lastlands. They cause the most political upheaval, fight the most skirmishes, sign the most treaties, work the hardest to expand into the Outremer, establish the most new settlements, and found the most Philosopher Cults.
